Adobe Flash is a program that lets a web designer add motion and interactivity to a web site. It's great for slide shows and photo galleries .

These terms refer, along with Apache Web Server, to open source programs that utilize data bases to bring dynamic functionality to web sites. Say you have 600 widgets of 600 different colors and sizes, with these programs you can organize this data and have people search and find the exact kind of widget they are looking for. They are very flexible platforms which can be used to bring dynamic fucntionality to your site.

Joomla is one of a number of Content Management Software programs that lend themselves to a large data base driven web site.
